There have always been weird controllers in the gaming world, but virtual reality controllers take the digital cake.

The CES 2016, in all is expected to feature about 40 such VR devices and other platforms like gaming consoles, mobiles, household products and even modern technology combined with futuristic robotics, each having their own specialty. It's like a "Minority Report" adapter in a box the size of a smartphone.

Samsung, which teamed up with on the $99 Gear VR system that went on sale in 2015, will also be at the tech-fest, pushing VR in full force. The UFO-shaped disc responds to tilts, presses, spins, and can act as a joystick even if you're not in a VR headset. HTC/Valve will probably showcase the final version of the Vive headset, Oculus is expected to announce the final price and specifications of the CV1 Rift and Samsung has now announced that it will be showing off a motion controller for its Gear VR headset, known as the Rink. The wonderful VR availability on such an accessible medium would make everything unbelievable for us and we will be able to enjoy its more perks in social communication.

Once confined to realm of science-fiction movies like Walt Disney's "Tron", virtual reality is expected to be a top attraction at the Consumer Electronics Show next week in Las Vegas.

The coming next year is going to be a more prominent one when it comes to virtual reality and we are expecting lots of wonders in this field. "Delivering VR is a complex challenge, especially since immersive VR requires seven times the graphics processing power compared to traditional 3D applications and games".

Phil McKinney, CEO of the CableLabs research and development consortium of cable operators, says, "I think we're beyond the goggles".

Microsoft is giving developers a chance to check out its holographic system HoloLens at the Microsoft store on 5th Ave.in New York City. "When someone cracks that code ..."

A new commercial and industrial market will also be launched in the Augmented Reality Marketplace. For that, you'll have to use your plain old imagination.
